FIRE DESTROYS HOUSE, LEAVES OCCUPANTS HOMELESS IN MOLYKO, BUEA

Some inhabitants of Molyko, Buea, have been left homeless after fire destroyed an entire building they were occupying into ashes. The fire incident started a few minutes after 4:00 pm on Tuesday July 11, 2017, sending the entire neighbourhood at the University of Buea junction into panic.

All efforts by neighbours to put out the fire were futile. It took less than 30 minutes for the fire to engulf the entire building constructed of wooden material. But they succeeded to prevent the fire from consuming other buildings built very close to it.
The material damage is yet to be established but many occupants lost their belongings given that they had not returned from their job sites when the fire broke out.
