GOVERNMENT HIGH SCHOOL LIMBE, CELEBRATES ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY AT VARIOUS VENUES IN LIMBE.

Ex-students of Government High School (GHS), Limbe, converged on Limbe to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the school. The ex-students, known by the acronym VILGOSHESA, who came from Cameroon and the rest of the world, showed all alumni high school groups in Cameroon that when it comes to raising funds, organising events, raising money for the school’s development and participating in captivating joyful activities, they are second to none. In attendance was the paramount chief of Limbe His Royal Highness John Elufa Manga Williams who is also an ex-student of the school. Representing the minister of secondary education was Njie Martin Essongo the delegate of secondary education for the South West. Former principals and other staffwere in attendance. The three-day event, which ran from Thursday 26th March to Saturday 28th March, followed the programme below:

On the second day of the event, ex-students dressed up in their prescribed anniversary colours, which projected so much glamour all over Limbe and beyond. Some former members of staff of the school were honoured by the ex-students, such as former principal Honourable Tasi Ntang Lucas, former principal Madam Eyere Takor and former teacher Mrs Sona.

Some projects by the ex-students:

ongoing construction of a dining hall, installation of solar lamps on campus, 50th anniversary monument etc.
