Born on the 10th of July 1934 in Buea, the Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Ma Julie Nalova Eko affectionately called Aunty Nalova by her family members, has been laid to rest . The deceased bowed out from the face of the Earth on the 6th of May 2012 at the age of 78 and was buried at her Wony-Lyonga residence in Buea on Saturday the 2nd of June 2012.
The late Aunty Nalova worked hard to sustain her children through small scale farming and selling food at lunch time at the Presbyterian Primary School Buea Town. Her only formal employment was working at the defunct CDC Tole tea factory, now under the Cameroon Tea Estate (CTE). Yet she was a blessing to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many who had the privilege to be around her.
Given to marriage at the age of 15, she leaves behind 3 generations- 8 children, 25 grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren, a total of 43 and still counting to mourn her. She is remembered of her great sense of humour and many of her family members and those close to her regret will miss her so much.
The departed’s religious beliefs were limited to Christianity. She was baptised in 1959 and remained a lifelong member of the Bethany Baptist Church Buea Town. Before her death, she had served as an elder at the same church and was a member of the Kakaneh, an umbrella association for women of the Cameroon Baptist Convention.
