Wokwai Village Emerges Overall Best at the End of the Buea Zone Wrestling Season

The Buea zone (Zone A) traditional wrestling has ended with Wokwai village emerging overall best with 453 points followed by Wonakanda with 266 points. During the award of prizes at the end of the final that took place on Sunday June 9, 2013, many special awards were presented to participants from Wokwai village.

While the traditional ruler of Wokwai, HRH Chief Kaka Esuwe, got the Best Chief of Zone A Wrestling Competition, Joke Kelvin from the same Wokwai village got the prize for the highest (best) contestant. Wokwai Lady Dance also won the best fan club award. This village also received an award for the team with the best punctuality record.

Announcing the close of the wrestling season, elites Fako Division where encouraged to help promote traditional wrestling by donating prizes. One of those who donated a special prize of FCAF 50,000 was Mola Moki Charles Linonge. The award he donated with his family was in memory of his wife, Ngowo Moki. It went to the most disciplined wrestling team and this was won by Wonakanda village.

However, though came 6th position in the general classification, the strongest wrestler for this season, Emanuel Motulu, and the best chest vibrator, Mafany Moka, all emerged from Bokwoango.
