Christmas day (25 December 2014)

People often complain of financial hardship, but they still throng the markets and shops days to Christmas and New Year celebrations. In Buea and other parts of Cameroon this year, parents were still seen shopping in the early hours of Christmas Day.
Business persons were also ready to make last minute sales to customers who might have only received money on the eve of Christmas. Shops and some markets functioned till around midday before the owners could join the rest of the population to celebrate Christmas.
