A lady from Lysoka village in Buea subdivision, Bertha Motumba, has been decorated woman of the year in Buea. The Governor of the South West Region, Bernard Okalia Bilaï, decorated her on the 8th of March 2016 in Buea during the celebration of the International Day of the Woman.
In addition to her decoration, she was awarded a trophy and a cash prize of FCFA 50,000. Bertha Motumba belongs to the Solidarity Women Group of Lysoka and is said to be very active in activities to empower women especially in the Buea Women’s Forum.
