By Cecilia Musaka in Limbe for Mount Fako News Centre

The 8th of March 2015 in the city of Limbe was marked with celebrations by women.
The International women’s day was filled with excitement. Most of the women started off by going to church to thank the Lord for their families; afterwards they went to march at the Limbe community field. This occasion was a day that was long awaited by these women. The women ensured they had sewed their clothes from the two colours of material chosen, which were pink and yellow, as well as making new hair dos to complement their outfits. This is a day dedicated to appreciating and admiring the beauty and strength of a woman. This occasion was attended by top officials who praised, acknowledged and recognised the achievements of women in terms of economic, social and political development. After the marching, they continued their celebrations at different restaurants, bars and relaxing centres.
All in all this day is celebrated both nationally and internationally.
